Iceland is now selling the hottest Christmas treat there is – Carolina Reaper Pigs in Blankets.

Pigs in Blankets are by far the best treat you can eat around the festive season, closely followed by Mince Pies and I’ll hear no more about it.

But for those of you who can handle the heat, normal piggies might be a little bit bland.

Luckily, Iceland has blended the sausage with the world’s hottest chilli pepper before wrapping them in bacon to intensify the chilli flavour.

Coming in at a whopping 2.3 million Scoville Units, the Carolina Reaper – which was first created in 2013 – remains the hottest chilli in the world.

The seriously hot pigs in blankets will set you back £2 a pack and are available now at Iceland in stores and online. They will be available throughout the festive season.

If this year has already been too much to handle and you can’t think of anything worse than spicy Christmas grub, Iceland has also launched Luxury Pigs in Blanket Mac & Cheese.

The dish is a delicious savoury sausage wrapped in crispy smoked bacon and paired with Red Leicester, parsley and topped with crunchy breadcrumbs.
