Greggs, the bakery after all our hearts, has unveiled its new autumn menu and it boasts some seriously tasty new additions.

Putting crispy red leaves and Halloween to one side, the thing that makes autumn so wonderful is undisputedly the food – as soon as September arrives, frozen drinks and ice creams are out and pumpkin spice, gingerbread and chocolate everything is in.

And Greggs, which is admittedly top tier all year round, always knocks it out of the park with their autumnal offerings.

Plus there’s something for everyone this year because their menu, which includes six new product, boasts some very impressive vegan additions; the vegan bacon breakfast roll – made from delicious smoky flavour plant-based bacon – and the vegan sausage breakfast roll – made using tasty Quorn sausages.

Also on the breakfast front, the bakery will now be offering a side of hash browns, made from shredded potatoes before being seasoned, fried and then baked in store until crisp and brown.

On the lunch side of things, there is the new chicken and stuffing baguette, which consists of slices of roast chicken breast coated in sage and onion stuffing with a generous helping of rich chicken gravy, all packed into a freshly baked baguette.

And for a real autumnal warmer, diners will be able to get their hands around the spicy chicken and red pepper soup, a part of Gregg’s ‘Balanced Choice Range’ and something that counts as two of your five a day.

On the sweet side of things, there is also the brand new sticky toffee muffin, a freshly baked bun with toffee and caramel flavour fudge pieces, complete with a deliciously gooey toffee flavoured centre.

And it wouldn’t be autumn without a pumpkin-spiced latte, would it? Greggs’ tasty pumpkin lattes, launched prematurely last month, will also be available to purchase throughout the colder months.

Greggs’ autumn menu is available now, though some items may be subject to availability in certain stores. To find your local Greggs, visit their website here.
