Gino D’Acampo is opening a new restaurant in Alderley Edge

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo is set to open a brand new restaurant in the heart of Alderley Edge.

Named after his first born son Luciano, Gino’s latest venture will be taking over the former Piccolino site on London Road with the promise to bring  an ‘upmarket Italian dining experience’ to Cheshire.

This will mark the second opening for Luciano by Gino D’Acampo after its debut at the ME London Hotel in the West End.

The restaurant will be hosting an exclusive evening on January 24th where guests will be able to experience the new menu and meet the Italian chef himself to ask questions and learn more of his plans for the future, both on-screen and off.

Those looking to dine in advance can book ahead now, however, as the restaurant takes over the site from Piccolino.

Gino has spoken of his excitement surrounding the new opening, saying: “I have many friends in Alderley Edge and the surrounding areas, it’s an amazing place and one in which I’m super excited to open.

“The location on London Road couldn’t be any better, it’s a fantastic property. I’m looking forward to spending time here with the amazing team, and our incredible, loyal guests.”

Managing Director of Luciano by Gino D’Acampo, Mat Cunningham, added: “We’re looking forward to bringing Luciano to Alderley Edge.

“Gino’s influence in the kitchen is significant, not just in terms of the sourcing of ingredients and creation of dishes, but the impact he has on chefs who love to work with him and aspire to his talent and attention to detail.

“He’s incredibly hands-on.”

The restaurant, which has not only protected the positions of Piccolino employees but has created fifteen new job roles for the area, is anticipated to launch in the Spring, with booking enquiries open from January 4th.
