Etihad Stadium to host independent food and drink vendors this season

Manchester City has unveiled a fantastic line up of local food and drink vendors for their 2021/2022 season.

To welcome back fans at their home game against Norwich City tomorrow, Man City will be offering up a whole array of local and independent gems – and they’ll be here to stay for the full season.

The club has roped in seven local food operators and four local craft breweries to provide more choice for fans as well as supporting local businesses within the Manchester community.

Replacing the usual flat plastic pints, fans will now be able to indulge in a selection of local beers at half time courtesy of Beatnikz RepublicSeven BrothersTrack Brewing Co. and Runaway Brewery – most of which are already located within a stone’s throw from the stadium itself.

On the food front, fans can expect to see HM PastiesNorthern Soul Grilled CheeseTriple B & Eat New YorkOh So British Kitchen, The Hip Hop Chip ShopPanchos Burritos and South Manny Flavaz. There will also be vegan and vegetarian options available. What a line up. 

In an official statement, Manchester City also announced that half price food and drink will be on offer for tomorrow’s match, saying: 

“To welcome fans back, the Club is also offering half price food and drink inside the stadium at the concourse and concessions between 1pm and 2pm for the opening fixture against Norwich City this Saturday.

“Items from seven local food operators and four local craft brewers will be available, with the new offerings providing an increased choice for fans attending fixtures, whilst also supporting local businesses within the Manchester community and reducing food miles.

“Alongside new food and beverage offerings, City are also introducing 100% recyclable and zero plastic beer cups and will trial an ‘edible coffee cup’ this season.

“For the first time on Campus, an ‘edible coffee cup’ will also be introduced. This fantastic and innovative solution provides an amazing solution to waste, just eat your cup!”

Manchester City will face Norwich City at their first home game of the season at 3pm tomorrow, August 21st.
