El Gato Negro Tapas

King Street’s El Gato Negro is set to reopen to the public next month with an exclusive ‘al fresco pop-up’.

From April 12th, award-winning tapas restaurant El Gato Negro will be returning to King Street with a new ‘Tapas on the Terrace’.

Expect Mediterranean-style dining with outdoor seating and parasols for five weeks from April 12th to May 16th.

There will be a specially curated menu with signature dishes and over 20 small plates.

The menu will include the likes of tiger prawns with chilli, garlic and lemon butter as well as Jamon Iberico croquetas, crispy fried baby squid and of course, patatas bravas.

There will also be a bottle shop – so you can take one home for later!

The restaurant said: “While we can guarantee delicious tapas, we obviously can’t promise Mediterranean weather in Manchester.

“So please feel free to bring your own blankets and toasty layers to add extra warmth!”
