Almost Famous

Almost Famous is back, and stripping things down to the good old classic juicy burgers!

The Great Northern branch of Almost Famous – you know, the one with the towering gorilla statue and the cow outside – is back open for business on July 4th, and they’re planning on stripping it back to ‘what made the magic’.

After spending lockdown taking things back to basics with hand-pressed freshly ground beef, amazing brioche, melty cheese, creamy smacky sauces, simple builds and the best quality ingredients cooked perfect and juicy every time, Beau Myers said “I’ve been remembering what Almost Famous was all about.”

The menu will be completely stripped back to just a few simple OG burgers.

Almost Famous

That’s not to say they’re not going to be as incredible as ever!

On the menu is the Ultra Famous burger, complete with double juicy famous cheeseburger, wonderbutter onion, famous sauce, bacon ketchup and pickles. This one is set to ‘hit that perfect burger craving’.

Then there’s the Phoenix 2.0, double cheese, JD maple smoked streaky bacon, shoestring onions, frazzles, fresh chillies, bacon mayo, redneck bbq and, of course, bacon ketchup.

The Crack Shack ‘Damn Daniel back at it again with the sweet salty savoury magic’ is back too. Crispy fried chicken, cheesburge creamy sauce with tangy pickles, Disney magic JD maple and a brand spanking new sauce for 2020.

Almost Famous

It wouldn’t be an Almost Famous without fries now, would it?! Of course, they’re on the menu too! There’s also a good range of cocktails, beer and soft drinks.

Almost Famous in the Great Northern will be open 4pm-9pm Wednesday and Thursday and 12-10pm Friday – Sunday – you’ll need to book ahead, which you can do on the website here.

The Northern Quarter site is set to open in a few weeks time, but the date is yet to be confirmed.

Which burger are you getting then?
