Christmas is a time for family, friends and, most importantly, drinking copious amounts of home-made cocktails.

So in preparation for this, Aldi’s own alcohol brand Ballycastle has brought back its popular festive cream liqueur that features a very Christmassy Chocolate and Clementine flavour.

Aldi shoppers have described the drink as tasting like a ‘melted Terry’s Chocolate Orange’, with many warning that it goes down ‘far too easily’.

And this isn’t the only variation of Aldi’s boozy county cream available, with the supermarket also stocking a variety of other festive tipples.

This includes the Chocolate, Caramel & Hazelnut Cream Liqueur, which is said to taste just like the Quality Street staple the Purple One, and the Espresso Martini Cream Liqueur, made with a blend of alcohol, double cream, and aromatic coffee.

And for those with a sweet tooth, there’s also the Ballycastle White Chocolate Cream Liqueur in stores and online now.

Though these aren’t the only treats Aldi are offering this Christmas, with the supermarket having recently launched its very own pigs in blankets range.

Though the most talked-about new addition is undisputedly the giant Yorkshire pudding filled with a huge pig in blanket.

The tantalising new dish features a 380g Yorkshire pudding with a giant pig in blanket tucked away inside.

And while this new item is meant to be a side, it could easily be demolished as a stand alone main with the pig in blanket measuring at a whopping 60cm in length.
