A new Berlin döner kebab spot is opening in the Arndale and they’re giving away free food to celebrate

Manchester’s already impressive kebab scene is set to be joined by a new döner restaurant and, guess what?

They’ll be giving out free kebabs to celebrate their arrival.

Döner Shack, which has enjoyed tremendous success in its flagship venue in Leeds Trinity Kitchen, will be taking over a venue in the Arndale’s Halle Place later this month.

The restaurant has become popular for it’s authentic Berlin-inspired kebaps, which all contain twice the amount of lean meat you’d find in your standard kebab from the local takeaway. There’s also no artificial fillers or excessive oils; just good quality meat and ingredients to make the perfect kebap.

Alongside Döner, Chicken Shawarma and freshly baked artisan bread, there will also be currywurst, halloumi, falafel and vegan schnitzel on the menu, all of which will be priced between £6 and £9.

On the drinks front, there will be a selection of milkshakes, soft drinks and German beers on tap – because it wouldn’t be a proper kebab experience without an abundance of German booze, would it?

The co-founder and managing director of Döner Shack Sanjeev Sanghera, said on the Manchester venue: “We can’t wait to introduce the people of Manchester to an authentic taste of the Berlin döner kebap filled with quality meats, fresh salad and our delicious signature sauces.

“We feel incredibly excited to be opening in Manchester Arndale, and understand, now more than ever, that people don’t want to compromise when it comes to quality, taste and their dining experience.”

He added that his mission is to change people’s perceptions of the kebab and show that it doesn’t need to be exclusive to those drunken walks home.

He said: “Whether that’s a snack while shopping, a quick grab and go during a busy lunch break or a fun evening with a group of friends. It’s time for a new generation of street food and we’re thrilled to be leading the way”.

And to celebrate their restaurant opening on Monday November 25th, Döner Shack will be giving out free kebabs between 11am-3pm for anyone who wants one. Get it in your dairies.
