I think we can all agree that the one thing Manchester is missing is a restaurant dedicated to hummus.

Well, that’s exactly what the city is getting, as Humpit, a hummus and pita bar, is opening up a new site in Manchester.

Humpit started out as a street vendor in Leeds in 2014, and now has 11 sites across the UK – the Mancunian branch will be their 12th when it opens this April.

It’ll be located on Brown Street, near St Ann’s Square, and will be serving up all the chain’s usual hummus-y goodness, including various pita, falafel and tahini-based combinations (all with hummus, obviously).

The whole menu is vegan – they even have vegan brownies – and, of course, there is absolutely tonnes of hummus.

While Humpit currently runs a pop-up at the university union, the new opening means we can all grab some hummus on our dinner.

They already have sites across the country, including Leeds, Sheffield, York, Edinburgh, Brighton and London.
