Five Guys have submitted plans to open a brand new burger joint in south Manchester.
Fans of the burger chain will be pleased to hear that a brand new venue will be popping up in south Manchester, taking over a unit in Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre in Didsbury.
This will mean Five Guys will have five restaurants in total in Manchester; Manchester Arndale, University Green on Oxford Road, the Trafford Centre, Ashton-under-Lyne and now Didsbury.
Planning permission has been submitted to the council for a new internal fit-out of an existing unit.
It’s not yet been confirmed which unit Five Guys will be taking over at the complex, which is already home to Nando’s, Wagamama, Pizza Hut and the Barlow Croft pub.
There’s also Cineworld cinema, Tenpin bowling alley, Grosvenor Casino, a Travelodge hotel and a Nuffield Health gym.
Recently, Frankie & Benny’s at the complex closed leaving a unit open. Speaking to the MEN, a spokesperson said the dining sector had been massively hit by Covid-19 and the lockdown.
Adding: “Unfortunately, we have had to take difficult but necessary decisions to ensure a sustainable future for our business.”
The food chain is known for customisable burgers, meaning you can add as many toppings as you want for the exact same price.
