South Manny Flavaz
Opening their first ever venue on Deansgate, the popular fried chicken shop South Manny Flavas will be offering takeaway until lockdown permits dine-in customers.

The brainchild of Aaron Lee, South Manny Flavas has an already successful site in the Arndale Food Market serving up homemade fried chicken. The restaurant will also have dessert waffles, milkshakes and signature dishes like Manny Cheese Steak.

Ramona
The new food and drink venue, from Albert’s Schloss founders Adelaide Winter and Joel Wilkinson, is taking shape in the former M.O.T garage opposite Mackie Mayor. There will be Detroit-style pizzas plus a beer garden, margarita bar and coffee counter.

Second Site
Popular Northern Quarter cafe Ezra & Gil is set to open a second site on Peter Street in the former Subway shop. The shop is ready to open as soon as lockdown permits!

Four Side Pizza
Taking over the former Earth Cafe site, Four Side pizza will be serving up Detroit-style pizzas, all plant-based, and with no booze on site! Four Side is the brainchild of Dan Hope from Firebird Hope, Krum doughnuts and Plant Grill. Diners can also expect doughnuts too, and a restaurant when lockdown permits!

Schofield’s Bar
A brand new cocktail bar set to open in the city’s historic Sunlight House this spring. From two award-winning bar tenders, Schofield’s Bar will seat around 70 customers inside and a further 60 on the outdoor terrace with a menu of 24 cocktails.

Prestwich Social
Set to be finished just before lockdown restrictions ease, Prestwich Social is taking over the Orange Tree site.

Founders Doug Waldron and Brett Collier are behind the cafe-bar concept which will see an all-day ‘chameleon’ with coffees, breakfast and brunch in the mornings, cafe-bar in the afternoons and late-night opening hours on weekends.

Slice
Set to back open after almost two years of closure, the Northern Quarter gem is heading to a new location on Oxford Road serving Roman-style pizzas by the slice. Plans also include sandwiches on freshly baked bread and homemade gelato in summer time.

The £1m food hall from founders of Assembly Underground in Leeds is set to open this year spanning 8,073 sq ft.

There will be space for five independently-owned kitchens, a cocktail bar, and a craft beer taproom. Already confirmed on the lineup is Ancoats classic, Elnecot bringing their new concept Dokes Pizzeria.

Jimmy’s
Music venue and bar Jimmy’s will be opening in Ancoats just off Cutting Room Square. Plans include a first-floor restaurant similar to the second site in Liverpool.

Lattsam
The Scandi-style cafe bar created by the team behind Beatnikz Republic brewery and bar opened briefly in lockdown but closed again due to low footfall. The artisan coffee shop will serve an all-day menu including everything from acai bowls to sandwiches.
